
Suwelka Touray a young lady from The Gambia completed her academic studies at the Institution for Integrated Farming System Skills Development College and has over five years of experience working with NGOs, including the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) and the Ecosystem-Based Adaptation (EBA) Project.
She has supported farmers in improving the productivity of their vegetable gardens and has provided training on innovative farming techniques.
These techniques involve an integrated farming system that combines animal rearing and crop cultivation on the same piece of land, allowing both systems to benefit from one another.
