
Niyirora Christian

Niyirora Christian is a public relations and communication practitioner with over five years of experience working in public relations and communications across international contexts, as well as within both the public and NGOs sectors.
Currently, Christian is serving as a Communications Specialist at GIZ Rwanda’s Climate, Energy, and Sustainable Urban Development Cluster, a position he has held since August 2025.
Prior to this, he served in a communication role at the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF) from February 2022 to July 2025. Before joining MIGEPROF, he served as a Community Engagement and Communications Manager at Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) from January 2021 to January 2022. In addition, he had also served as a United Nations Volunteer (UNV) in communications roles at both UNDP South Sudan and UNAIDS Gambia, each for a period of six months.
Christian hold a master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy from Mount Kenya University (Nairobi Campus)
